Open Trails is an opportunity to enjoy a self-guided walk on one of Katy Prairie
Conservancy
’s breezy, beautiful preserves each Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the KPC Field
Office.
Hike along a well-marked path listening for the honks of wild geese sweeping
towards the horizon, scan the golden-brown grasses for darting grasshoppers,
and, best of all, take in the calming sounds of an inviting countryside only 45
minutes from the hustle and bustle of Houston.
Each guest is provided with an informative, full-color trail guide to add to
their journey of discovery and is encouraged to download a Trail Cast from the
Web site, which complements information found in the trail guide.
All participants should wear appropriate outdoor clothing, including closed-toe
shoes and long pants. A long-sleeve shirt is also recommended. Participants
should bring their own water and insect repellent.

Family to family network and family friends programs need volunteers
Family to Family Network provides information, training, referral and support to
families with children with disabilities and adults with disabilities. For more

Family Friends Volunteer Program matches older adults to

become a treasured friend to a child with disabilities and/or chronic illness
and their family. Volunteers visit the family home to play games, read a book,
help with homework, give encouragement and just have fun.

Cornerstone church vacation
bible school, june 8-12
Cornerstone Church’s Vacation Bible School 2009 will be held June 8-12 from 8:45 a.m.-noon.
The program is designed for children from the age of 5 (prior to June 1) and
includes students going into fifth grade.

jason koch leads worship at Crossbridge united methodist church, sundays
Jason Koch and his talented band including Daniel Williams, C.J. Dipalma,
William Matthews and Jesse Reed, lead worship each Sunday at Crossbridge United
Methodist Church. Services are held at 10:30 a.m. at Bonnie Holland Elementary,
located at the corner of Seven Meadows Parkway and Gaston Road in the heart of
Seven Meadows.
