Gallas Plastic Surgery & Vein Center and Dr. Mennen T. Gallas, MD, FACS, announce the construction of a new facility specifically designed
for cosmetic surgery. The 7,000-square- foot facility will be located at 21300

’s first center designed exclusively for cosmetic procedures.
“Our new specialized facility and equipment will give our patients the greatest
comfort and peace of mind possible,
” added Dr. Gallas. “Specialization also gives our patients unmatched convenience, saving them both
time and money, in a peaceful, hassle-free environment.

Firethorne surpassed its goal of 200 home sales by the end of 2008, with 201 homes sold.
These figures compare to 210 homes sold in 2007 at the 1,400-acre residential
development located in Katy/Fulshear.
Perry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Plantation Homes, Highland Homes, Coventry
Homes and Partners In Building comprise the Firethorne builder team.
Cinco Ranch, a 7,600-acre master-planned community in west Houston, reported a 6 percent
increase in new-home sales for 2008 over 2007. A total of 779 new homes were
sold in Cinco Ranch in 2008, compared to 732 sold in 2007. The average new-home
sales price in Cinco Ranch also increased by approximately 11 percent.
Several factors helped Cinco Ranch post a positive sales gain in an overall
market where new-home sales were generally down for 2008, said
Jennifer Taylor, vice president of marketing for Newland Communities, developer of Cinco Ranch.
“Cinco Ranch got a major boost from our spring grand opening, which launched a
new 2,400-acre phase that included a new model home village with over 30
decorated models, thousands of new homesites in all price ranges, and new
recreational amenities including a 30-acre lake,
” Taylor said.
“Additionally, home buyers seem to be viewing large, established master-planned
communities such as Cinco Ranch as safe havens for their investment during
these economic times, and Cinco Ranch has benefitted from its 18-year history
as a leading new-home community located close to west Houston
’s Energy Corridor,” she said.
Cinco Ranch has continued to attract relocation buyers moving to Houston, along
with local first-time and move-up buyers. Another source of new-home sales has
been existing homeowners moving up or scaling down within Cinco Ranch, which is
already home to 10,000 households. Another 5,000 households are planned for the
new phase opened in 2008.
