Art Exhibit & Auction

Christus St. Catherine Hospital hosted a reception and exhibition for artist Dennis Batham on Nov. 19. In return, a portion of the proceeds from the auction benefited the St. Catherine Fund. Batham was born in the UK and now resides in Katy. Popular with private collectors on the West Coast, he has exhibited at the Tate Gallery in San Francisco/Dallas and at numerous Expos. As a professional corporate artist, his work enhances the executive walls of trade and industry buildings throughout the U.S., Europe and South Africa.

Holiday Open House

Hauerlands held its annual holiday open house with wine and cheese plus door prizes on Nov. 5. Hauerlands is the purveyors of fine goods in Katy. They expanded the store —same place but more space for their treasures! It was a great night, and ladies enjoyed an extra discount while shopping and sipping on wine and treats.

“Celebrate your Princess”

CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital and Trendmaker Development at Cross Creek Ranch teamed up on Oct. 31 to help fight breast cancer with the first “Celebrate your Princess” Breast Cancer Walk. More than 400

walkers and their dogs participated. The walk began at Cross Creek Ranch and ended with a celebration for princesses and their pooches including a Pink Pamper Party with local boutiques and spa services —including pet pampering. Proceeds benefit the CHRISTUS St. Catherine Breast Cancer Awareness Fund, promoting community outreach, health, wellness and education.

Deck the Halls

The Solana at Cinco Ranch, the premier new senior living community, pulled out all the stops when Mark T. Spiegel, president of Atlanta-based Formation Development Group, came for the “Deck the Halls” private holiday event

complete with a red carpet for VIPs. The Solana’s Executive Director Nick Roccaforte introduced neighboring Cinco Ranch High School Choir at the festive outdoor tree lighting.
