ummer promises fun and cool events when you visit L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort, a luxury Texas Hill Country-themed resort, just down the road in Lake Charles, La. Though temperatures are rising along with gas prices, vacationers who choose L ’Auberge don’t have to sacrifice summer fun. A trip to Vegas or Disney can be costly and time consuming, but in only two hours you can drive to L ’Auberge and find every amenity you need to keep yourself and your family entertained to the hilt: big name entertainment, personalized service, distinctive dining, unique shopping, non-stop gaming action, VIP services, resort activities including an award-winning spa and a pool/lazy river complex named as the Top 10 in America by Trip Advisor.

Accommodations
A heightened sense of awareness awaits you when you stay at L’Auberge for one night or one week. Rising 26 stories over Lake Charles and with approximately 1,000 hotel rooms, suites and villas, there is more than enough room to stretch out. Enjoy added touches like plush amenities, elegant furnishings and the rustically contemporary theme of the place and relax in luxury.
Each spacious guest room invites you to unwind. Refined, elegant rooms feature beautiful d écor and amenities like 32-inch TVs, high-speed Internet connections, in-room safes and plush robes for you to lounge around in.
Executive suites range in size from 550 square feet to over 2,100 square feet, and include a private “villa complex” adjacent to the hotel tower, overlooking either the lavish pools or the magnificent Contraband Bayou. Each also features a private courtyard spa.
Casino
With an enormous glass dome, a grand vaulted ceiling and 30,000 square feet of the best gaming around, it ’s hard to believe you’re still in Lake Charles. The single-level casino is one of the largest of its kind in the world, featuring more than 60 table games and 1,600 slots. From blackjack to baccarat, there ’s always a game to be played.
Amenities
Fun is found everywhere at L’Auberge—not just the gaming floor. Everywhere you look are ways to pass the time. Whether shopping or golf is your bag, there ’s no shortage of things to do. Golf the only public Tom Fazio course in the area, where the marsh and lowland features of the natural Louisiana environment enhance this unique 7,000-yard, par-71 championship 18-hole golf course.
Browse through the collection of fine shops, including Modele, specializing in the finest ladies ’ resort wear and accessories topped off with personalized, attentive service; Studs of L ’Auberge, attiring the fashion-conscious man in stylish clothes and accessories; L ’ove, where you’ll find all things sexy, silky and romantic; and even L’Arcade, for the young and young at heart. Or just unwind with a specialized treatment at Spa du Lac.
Poolside is heaven at L’Auberge. The heated pool, lazy river and oversized spa are situated in a tropical atmosphere, enabling guests to unwind and indulge in a vacation experience. The Poolside Bar gives the swim-up customer access from the lazy river and specializes in frozen cocktails and poolside snacks. Guests can relax on a chaise, enjoy cocktails and dine on gourmet cuisine at Nevie Beach Club, located on a beautiful veranda overlooking all the action poolside.
A serene adults-only pool offers luxury cabanas and full bar service. A complete staff of pool attendants provides complimentary towels and lounge chairs. For a more private experience, the reserved poolside cabana complex features sunbathing patios and personalized attendant services.
Yes, the amenities abound at L’Auberge. The toughest choice you’ll have to make is deciding what to do next.
Dining
The great taste of Lake Charles is best evident at any of the dining destinations L ’Auberge du Lac has to offer.
Snake River Grill originated in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and moved east of the Rockies when L ’Auberge opened its doors. A recipient of Wine Spectator’s prestigious “Award of Excellence” nine years running, Snake River Grill presents innovative modern American Cuisine with a subtle western influence and is currently serving Copper River Salmon from Alaska, flown in fresh daily and served in the guest ’s preferred method with choice of sauce.
With savory food and tasty entertainment inspired by that famous Tennessee sippin ’ whiskey, Jack Daniel’s Bar and Grill features all the barbecue you can handle and “off the grill” entrees made with Jack’s own sauces and glazes, though the best recipes may be behind the bar where the Old No. 7 whiskey is featured in a bevy of special beverages.
If you want a little something different, try Asia, where the food is Asian fusion and authentic Vietnamese —the perfect spot for a quick snack or bowl of traditional Vietnamese soup.
Le Café, a traditional French bistro, gives you a chance to enjoy exactly what you want any time of day. Enjoy breakfast for lunch or a burger for breakfast 24-hours a day.
In Le Beaucoup Buffet, variety is the spice of life. The buffet features American Tex/Mex, local and Asian cuisine, along with a large selection of pastries, and desserts. Additionally, offered here are fresh salads, veggies, locally sourced seafood, poultry, steaks, chops, and Cajun and pasta dishes.
Follow your dinner with something sweet from Desserts. Indulge in tasty gelato, decadent homemade pastries and gourmet coffee selections from Starbucks. Enjoy them in a cozy, intimate setting or take them to go. Lattes is located in the hotel lobby and features specialty coffees, teas and
pastries in addition to sandwiches and light snacks.
globar, located in the center of the casino floor, allows guests to take a break from the gaming action in a stylish environment and entices them with cool libations. The lobby lounge, located directly across the pavilion from Lattes, serves as a meeting place with comfortable leather seating.
