First Editions, a premium collection of plants from Bailey Nurseries, offers two
exciting new varieties for 2008. Firegold Spirea and Cabernet Barberry are
anything but ordinary. In fact, each First Editions plant is chosen for its
one-of-a-kind look and performance. Each offers unique attributes that make
them the first choice of home gardeners.
Firegold Spirea
After spring’s initial flower show, many spirea generally fade into the background of the
landscape. Not so with Firegold.
This spiria’s foliage shines through the growing season to create interest in the garden. Spring growth starts out as a soft yellow, transitioning to a brilliant
lemon-lime.
This unique color change makes Firegold a great addition as a focal point,
foundation plant or backdrop for the garden.
