Masquerade and Martini Mixer
Katy Visual and Performing Arts Society hosted its first annual Masquerade and Martini Mixer at Agave Road. The electric evening included ornate masks, actors in costume, a magician, food, silent auction and plenty of entertainment! The event raised money for the KVPAC Community Outreach Program.
Katy Visual and Performing Arts Society provides arts education and cultural enrichment in theater, visual arts and music to children, youth and adults. KVPAC ’s mission to “Educate, heal and unify through the arts” is accomplished as it serves over 10,000 people annually by providing 345 tuition-based classes, more than 40 community performances, 20 free ARTS for ALL! events annually including the ARTS for ALL! Gallas Grand Opening
Dr. Mennan Gallas opened the doors to his new facility on Provincial on Sept. 25 and gave tours of his gorgeous facility. The event included catering by Carmelo ’s, entertainment by Cinco Ranch Conservatory of Music and fabulous door prizes.

Rice Harvest Festival
The annual Rice Harvest Festival Photography Contest reception was held  at Country Park Portraits. The photography contest had a record number of entries this year. There is much excitement and anticipation for next year ’s event.

Pattison Pink, It’s a Matter of Principal
Pattison Elementary School participated in the 2009 Komen Houston Race for the Cure on Oct. 3 at Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston. Pattison teachers, parents, friends and children walked in honor of Principal Debbie Barker. It was described as a very emotional and inspiring event.
