Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Gala – The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 40th Annual Gala, “A Tribute to Katy,”on Friday, Feb. 6, from 6 p.m.-1 a.m. This event will benefit chamber programs.

Ties & Tiaras – A fundraiser for the Katy ISD KEYS Scholarship Program is set for Thursday, Feb.
19, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Agave Road, 1010 FM 1463, Katy. Tickets are $25 per
person in advance or $40 per person at the door and includes hors d
’oeuvres, beverages and student entertainment. All proceeds benefit 2009 KEYS
graduating seniors.
AROUND KATY
1) Katy has a growing Filipino community. Many are nurses and other health
professionals working in the area hospitals. Katy even has two Filipino
businesses: Pinoy Kusina (a Filipino restaurant) and Pinoy Grocery (a store
full of Filipino/Asian goods and ingredients). Both are located on South Mason.
